To Provide relevant and culturally appropriate resources, educational programs, and referrals to improve physical and emotional health.
Objective 1 : Ensure all Burmese residents have access to language interpretation services while engaging healthcare community services.
Enhance and increase interpretation/translation contracts and/or relationships with all major healthcare providers in the greater Battle Creek area.
Objective 2 : Provide health and wellness educational programming and resources for Burmese residents.
Increase awareness of health and wellness topics by engaging Burmese community to identify interest/need.
Increase collaboration with local churches, pastors, and elders to promote health and wellness initiatives.
Increase mental health awareness by providing programming and referrals to local resources.
Objective 3 : Increase opportunities for physical and other community building activities.
Increase community access to physical activities at and through the Burma Center.
Increase community access to promote music, art, and literature.
